In Crudo ("Crude") Gabriel Roca (Tenerife) presents a collection of his works in black sand. Crudo explores soil extraction, industrial processes, material relations, transport and limitations. Roca's black sand series is based on his work with biologists, geologists and meteorologists and offers a detailed investigation of material transformations. Referring to glass manufacturing and digital representations, Roca uses sand to build a dynamic vision of a natural product that is not as infinite as it seems.
