The Venezuelan poet Adalber Salas Hernández, resident in New York and one of the most outstanding authors of his generation, presents his latest book, "The Science of Goodbyes", (published by the publishing house Pre-Texts) at the Cultural Transit Agency, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. He will be accompanied by the poets Ernesto Suárez and Rafael-José Díaz, who will talk with the author after reading the poems.
Adalber Salas Hernández (Caracas, 1987) is a poet, essayist, and translator. He is the author of several books of poems. Among the most recent are Salvoducto (2015), winner of the XXXVI Arcipreste de Hita Award, Río en blanco (2016) and Mínimos (2016). He has published translations by Marguerite Duras, Antonin Artaud, Charles Wright, and Mário de Andrade, among others. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Spanish and Portuguese Language and Literature at New York University (NYU).
